Michael Jordan is a consistent donator to the health care system in his hometown, and his efforts continue amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The NBA superstar joined forces with Novant Health to open up two clinics in Wilmington, North Carolina. TMZ reports that Michael Jordan is donating $10 million to make it happen. The healthcare organization said the clinics will offer “comprehensive primary care, including behavioral health and social support services, to the area’s most vulnerable communities.”

Jordan made the following statement: “Everyone should have access to quality health care, no matter where they live, or whether or not they have insurance. Wilmington holds a special place in my heart and it’s truly gratifying to be able to give back to the community that supported me throughout my life.”
